The internet was built by people — for people. It's time to protect that.
The Problem
By 2025, most internet traffic is generated not by humans. Bots write comments, inflate votes, leave reviews, register accounts, participate in surveys. The digital space has lost its main property — it has stopped being human.
The problem is deeper than it seems. Existing solutions — CAPTCHA, SMS verification, KYC — are either easily bypassed or require identity disclosure. There is no open standard that allows proving humanity anonymously.
Anyone can create a thousand accounts. Any bot can write 'I am human'. No service today can verify this claim — without a passport, without surveillance, without a centralised database.
Solution: HSI as a Protocol
HSI (Homo Sapience Internet) is not a replacement for the internet. It is a protocol on top of IP, like HTTPS on top of HTTP. It adds one new primitive: HumanCredential — a cryptographically verified proof that a living human is behind an action.
Verification is based on movement biometrics, not identity. AI analyses the gesture — not coordinates, not shape, but statistics: speed variability, pause entropy, number of corrections, rhythm irregularity. This is what bots cannot imitate well enough.
How it works
- User draws a gesture → statistics processed on-device
- Anonymous feature vector (no coordinates) sent to SapiX on Gonka Network
- Result: is_human + confidence — no personal data
- On success, Ed25519 DID is generated in browser
- SHA3-256 hash of proof written to Aptos
Practical Applications
REST API integrates in a few lines of code. Spam disappears — not because it's blocked, but because there's no one to write it. Ratings, votes and likes again reflect real human opinion.
One human, one vote. No Sybil attacks, no ballot stuffing. Governance tokens are protected not just by quantity, but by proof of humanity.
A verified Human badge appears for real people. Discussion quality changes instantly — not through censorship, but through trust in the source.
Reviews are left by real buyers, not competitor bots. Ratings work again as a quality indicator.
The exam was passed by a human, not GPT. An online diploma makes sense when there's proof of who earned it.
Paradox: HSI helps AI agents act correctly. An agent can prove it acts on behalf of a verified human — with their explicit permission.
Monetisation & Sustainability
HSI exists as an open protocol with several tiers. Verification for humans is always free. This is a principle: a human should not pay to prove their humanity.
Platforms pay for verifying their users — just as they now pay for reCAPTCHA and fraud detection, but more honestly, transparently and without sharing data with third parties. HSI Bond allows verified members to vouch for others, strengthening decentralised reputation.
